Gene effects and variances in hybrid populations.

چکیده
M O S T of the developments in quantitative genetic theory focus on the study of intrapopulation concepts. With an increasing consideration of more divergent genetic materials, a need for theory relating to hybrid populations exists. In this study two methods for characterizing the gene effects and genetic variability in interpopulation hybrids are compared. Also, covariances among relatives are compared for the two methods. The immediate interpopulation generated by crossing random individuals from two parent populations provides the reference base for defining the genetic parameters. Linkage equilibrium is assumed in each parent population so that gene distributions are uncorrelated in the reference populations. Detection of Genetic Differences between Holstein and Iranian North-West Indigenous Hybrid Cattles using Genomic Data
Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Selection to increase the frequency of new mutations useful only in some subpopulations leaves markers at the genome level. Most of these regions are related to genes and QTLs controlling significant economic traits. Material and Methods: In order to detection of genetic differences between Iranian northwestern crossbred and Holstein cattle breed,...

Six rice cultivars were crossed in half diallel design to evaluate their GCA and SCA in 2005. In the following year, parents and their progenies were grown in a randomized complete block design with three replications, and 10 traits were measured. The analysis of variance showed significant differences (p≤0.01) between cultivars. Furthermore, general combining ability (GCA) and specific combini...

متن کاملEffects of Selection on Genetic Parameters of Secale montanum Based on Seed Storage Protein Marker
Secale montanum is one of the important perennial grasses growingnaturally in arid to semiarid pastures and rangelands, with a typical Mediterraneanclimate, in northern and western Iran at altitudes of 800-2900 m. In this paper, seedstorage protein profiles of nine wild populations of S. montanum from differentregions of Iran and their phenotypically superior progenies as well as a multi-origin...
متن کاملSustainable Supplier Selection by a New Hybrid Support Vector-model based on the Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm
For assessing and selecting sustainable suppliers, this study considers a triple-bottom-line approach, including profit, people and planet, and regards business operations, environmental effects along with social responsibilities of the suppliers. Diverse metrics are acquainted with measure execution in these three issues. This study builds up a new hybrid intelligent model, namely COA-LS-SVM, ...
